Main Role:
- Plant Sourcing:
- Collaborate with designers, garden care team, landscape team and clients to curate and plant materials for new projects and garden care jobs.
- Source large orders together for landscaping jobs on time and with quality stock.
- Consultation and Design:
- Consult with clients and designers, utilizing your industry expertise to create plant lists.
- Implement creative designs using hand-drawn/mud maps sketches or CAD and other tools (CAD skills not essential).
- Nursery Management:
- Efficiently manage the nursery:
- Evaluate and refresh stock.
- Maintain an organised and tidy inventory.
- Ensure optimal watering practices.
- Execute potting up
- Efficiently manage the nursery:
- Garden Installation:
- Contribute to the installation of new gardens in coordination with the landscape team.
- Aftercare Services:
- Provide ongoing care to new landscapes during included aftercare periods, collaborating with the garden care team and clients on progress.
- Client Engagement:
- Offer expert advice and plant lists to existing clients, focusing on plant improvements.
- Undertake orders and plant outs.
- Regularly visit gardens, proposing annual refreshes or updates.
- Communicate with clients, providing estimates for suggested work.

- Landscape Support:
- Collaborate on landscaping jobs, offering construction support, hands-on involvement, and labouring.

Garden Care Person
ORL is looking to expand our garden maintenance team. We pride ourselves on not being just another mowing service- we are a true gardening service. You will be undertaking a general garden task like mowing and edging, tree work, shrub pruning, spraying and weeding and then you will have an influence on the shape and design of the garden by being able to see the whole picture and work one step ahead of the needs of the garden.
Being a true gardening service it’s all about the details and having an eye for the many small parts. Plants will play a key part on in all gardens and a lot of the garden work will be about plant health, care and replacement. Working in a team environment you will contribute to the success of some amazing gardens. We are interested in hard working qualified gardeners and/or people with a strong interest in gardens who are willing to learn.
Great conditions and location, freedom and autonomy for the right people- Garden care F/T preferred, consider 4 days a week, $28-$36 per hour.
Key Requirements:
- 5 years of gardening experience (qualifications preferred but not essential)
- Manual driver’s license (truck license preferred but not mandatory, can be obtained)

Small Machine Mechanic-Casual
A casual position between 4 to 8 hours per week-optimally Saturday or Sunday, although weekdays may also work with negotiable rate of pay depending on experience.
Anglesea depo, ORL is looking for the right person to look after our small machines and equipment. The person will be responsible for upkeep and servicing of our garden care and landscaping equipment. They will be undertaking repairs, servicing and maintenance to keep the teams moving. Skills that would be needed include -welding, basic auto electoral fault finding, breakdowns, puncture repairs, small machine serving, and sharpening of chainsaws and hedgers. We see this role being around 8 hours a week with flexibility. Casual or subcontract rates would apply. Most tools and works space included.
Extra hours can be worked if the right person also was willing to wash vehicles and equipment.
Person would be responsible for repairs and maintenance to vehicles and equipment. Applicants must be self-starters and show sound mechanical understanding with some workshop experience would be helpful but not essential.
