Job Description:

Qualified landscaper needs to be able to adopt and respect our style whilst at the same time helping contribute to its growth and developing the way we do our work; it’s critical the applicant has a passion for this type of landscaping.
Package includes
•Work vehicle provided
•Wage based on experience: $70-80K plus superannuation. For the right applicant, the total package can be up to $90,000 including Super and work car.
•Equipment and tools provided- BYO own tools are welcome
•4 weeks of annual leave/Public holiday and standard sick cares leave
•RDOs can be included in an adjusted package
•Uniform and boots provided
•Flexible family-friendly working arrangements

Skills required
This is an onsite position working on the ground up to build gardens, lead staff and work with clients and ORL team. The work will include some of the following aspects; it’s important that applicants can demonstrate skills in theses area.
Design ideas and input to design process are welcome
Hard landscape- we will be looking for people with strengths in this area
  oTimber work
  oRock work
  oGeneral construction
Operation of bobcat, excavator and Kanga along with trucks and other vehicles
  oMR License- can be obtained
  oExcavator, Bob cat and Kanga use- extra training can be provided
•Soft landscape
  o Natural style landscapes with an eye on details and aesthetics
  o Planting and soil preparation
  o Construction of natural swales and drainage systems
  o Gravel driveways and paths
  o Mulching soil works and planting.

  • qualified or experienced landscape tradespeople
  • fourth-year apprentices- with machine/truck experience
  • experience with this type of work or very similar work
  • already working in the industry and with experience in soft and hard landscape
  • MR license and truck experience (highly desired)
  • machine experience (highly desired)

ORL is looking to expand our garden maintenance team. We pride ourselves on not being just another mowing service- we are a true gardening service. You will be undertaking a general garden task like mowing and edging, tree work, shrub pruning, spraying and weeding and then you will have an influence on the shape and design of the garden by being able to see the whole picture and work one step ahead of the needs of the garden.

Being a true gardening service it’s all about the details and having an eye for the many small parts. Plants will play a key part on in all gardens and a lot of the garden work will be about plant health, care and replacement. Working in a team environment you will contribute to the success of some amazing gardens. We are interested in hard working qualified gardeners and/or people with a strong interest in gardens who are willing to learn.

Great conditions and location, freedom and autonomy for the right people- Garden care F/T preferred, consider 4 days a week, $28-$36 per hour.  

Key Requirements:

  • 5 years of gardening experience (qualifications preferred but not essential)
  • Manual driver’s license (truck license preferred but not mandatory, can be obtained)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Creative mindset
